Kelly Salmon has a background in biochemistry and cell biology.  She also has a long history of developing and coordinating STEM outreach. Dr. Salmon began working with the NHAS teaching a summer session in 2017 before joining full-time as Senior Scientist in 2018. She now leads summer programs, after school programs, professional development for teachers, and outreach to local schools. She is looking forward to continuing to teach students new techniques and fostering excitement in the scientific process. 
Alyson Michael is a chemist with a focus on material chemistry.  Since joining the NHAS full time in 2020, Alyson has created programs that implement new equipment and placed on emphasis on integrating quantitative methods into student experiments.

Her work on the biomolecular properties of cone snail venom has taken her around the world to learn and work on potential hidden uses in its chemical makeup.  She's also a great science communicator and teacher, especially when she gets to teach children about her work with these marvelous mollusks.

<a href="https://mobile.twitter.com/irisbeara" rel="nofollow">Bea</a> is a graduate student at the University of Copenhagen and member of the<a href="https://mobile.twitter.com/SafaviLab" rel="nofollow"> Safavi Lab</a>.  Her work on the biomolecular properties of cone snail venom has taken her around the world to learn and work on potential hidden uses in its chemical makeup.  She&#39;s also a great science communicator and teacher, especially when she gets to teach children about her work with these marvelous mollusks.</p>

Dr. Andre Isaacs is an associate professor of organic chemistry at the College of the Holy Cross.  He is also a pretty incredible creator on Tik Tok, where he shows that scientists can have fun, and that educators can do some serious educating without being so serious.  By creating a strong sense of community in his classroom and lab, Andre is training the next generation of students to be confident in their work, and comfortable with being their authentic selves.

Naomi Charalambakis, PhD, is a Senior Science Policy Analyst for the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB), a coalition of 29 scientific societies collectively representing over 130,000 individual biological and biomedical researchers. In this role, she leads efforts of FASEB’s Animals in Research and Education working group, developing policy statements, tracking congressional legislation and agency directives related to animal use in federal research, and creating resources for the lab animal community. This includes preparing comments to federal Requests for Information. Additionally, Dr. Charalambakis serves as the staff liaison for the FASEB Shared Research Resources Task Force, coordinating with volunteers across the country to guide policy discussions pertaining to core facilities. Dr. Charalambakis launched her policy career at FASEB in November 2018, after graduating with her doctorate in Anatomical Sciences and Neurobiology from the University of Louisville School of Medicine where she utilized mouse transgenics to evaluate the role of retinal input on inhibitory interneurons in the visual thalamus. As a PhD Candidate, Dr. Charalambakis spent the summer of 2015 as a science policy intern at Research!America, and co-founded and served as Director of the first science policy University of Louisville student organization.
